Tall Boots with White Floral Embroidery: Designed to Follow the Leg

Tall Boots with White Floral Embroidery: Designed to Follow the Leg

The tall boot with white floral embroidery is a fall piece designed by David Assil for Madison Maison, the Beverly Hills specialty store. It is a tall leather cowboy boot cut to follow the leg, soft the day you put it on, finished with a rubber insert under the sole so it walks real streets in comfort. It comes in navy and in black, $1,500, available in store at 9630 Brighton Way and online.

I want to talk about pieces we designed that are coming in for this fall. This tall flower boot, which I love.

It came out just exactly the way I wanted it to. The heel is right. The pitch on the heel is right. The toe shape is fantastic.

The flower sequence, the way it was done, is just awesome.

Designed to Follow the Leg

It is really nice on the leg. I always try to do it so that it will accentuate the leg. I don't really like it when a boot is baggy. Unless it is a floppy boot and that is the style. But styles like this should be really following the leg. Giving it a great look. Making it hip and sexy at the same time.

It Looks Stiff. It Is Not.

It looks like it would be stiff. It is not. Super soft, real soft. The factories I work with are just geniuses in executing whatever my idea might be.

A Rubber Insert for Real Streets

I always try to put a little rubber insert on the bottom. In case you are traveling. Cobblestone streets, whether it is in Europe, New York, wherever you are in the world. So they can be comfortable.

Navy and Black

This one comes in navy and black. I think you will love them once you see them yourself, in the flesh or online.

Designer's Notes

What colors do the tall boots with floral embroidery come in?

Navy and black. Both carry the white floral embroidery up the leg.

Are they stiff like they look?

No. That is the surprise. They look structured but they are super soft from the first wear.

Why is there a rubber insert on the sole?

David puts a little rubber insert on the bottom of his boots so they are comfortable on real streets. Cobblestones in Europe, sidewalks in New York, wherever you are in the world.

How should a tall boot fit?

Following the leg. Not baggy. David designs his tall boots to accentuate the leg, hip and sexy at the same time.

Where can I try them on?
