When designer David Assil set out to create the Pearl Loafer Collection, he wanted to achieve something few had done before — a shoe that marries technical mastery with timeless beauty.
“The factory had been trying to do pearls on shoes for a long time,” David says. “It’s incredibly difficult to get a string of pearls and not have it break. It took six months to figure it out — but when we did, the result was extraordinary.”

Each pair is 100% handmade in Venice, Italy, in collaboration with the renowned Marabini factory — a partnership built on over two decades of creative trust. The Sacchetto construction, a traditional Italian technique requiring over 200 meticulous steps, eliminates the need for a stiff insole board. “I love the way the pearls work with the silver,” says David. “I did the croc with the pearls too — it’s a really rich look. And the plain black with a single pearl feels timeless. These are the kinds of pieces that women get excited about before they even arrive in-store.”
